acronym - [smahrt]:
What is a smart device?
A SMART device is an electronic device that is (wirelessly) connected to a network and/or other SMART devices and is intended to, at least in part, operate without the need for constant or permanent human intervention.
The terms SMART device and IoT-device are used interchangeably because of the resemblance in the way they operate.
They include sensors, computer devices and wearables such as: thermostats, smart watches, cameras, motion sensors, loudspeakers, lights, locks, fire detection, air quality sensors, access systems, activity trackers, etc.
